This 8-week course is designed for dogs older than 16 weeks of age. In addition to learning theory being discussed, Basic Obedience teaches you to teach your dog the basic commands that will ensure that you have a happy household as well as a happy dog. This course covers teaching basic commands including Sit, Down, Come, Stay, Leave It, Drop It, Wait at the Door, walking nicely on leash without pulling and Heeling. Boundary Training, Off Leash Control and Problem Solving are also covered. For those of you who have taken puppy class, the Basic Class adds more distractions (like holding stays for longer times with squeeky toys going off and frizbee's flying by and adds more distance) and also includes leash training each class, heeling, boundary training, and basic manners.

Picks up where Basic Obedience left off and concentrates on those hard to train areas. Improved manners and reliability, more emphasis on heeling and automatic sits, preparation for off-leash heeling, more attention exercises to keep your dog focused on you rather than another dog or person, proofing the recall so that it becomes automatic and reliable, Go to Place, Drop on Recall, Fronts and Finishes. Level 2 is a great way to prepare for Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog, Rally Obedience and Outdoor Adventures.
Our Basic Obedience is a prerequisite.

This 8-week class focuses on training your dog to have good manners around other people and other dogs and helps build confidence and control. Each week we work on the different test parameters that comprise the Canine Good Citizen Test so that you and your dog are prepared to take the test. Dogs must be friendly around other dogs and people. On the 8th week of the class the Canine Good Citizen Test will be administered by a certified AKC Evaluator and those dogs which pass will receive a certificate from the AKC (American Kennel Club). A great class for improving your dog's manners! Level 2 Obedience is highly suggested as a pre-requisite.

12 forty five minute sessions $220.00 ($140.00 due before the first class, $80.00 due at week 9)
This course is 12 weeks in length and includes the Canine Good Citizen Course and Test. In addition to the 10 items on the CGC test, there will be common medical equipment and medical situations introduced to prepare both the handler and dog for Therapy work. Part of this course is held at a nearby Nursing Home where students will learn in a real therapy environment how to approach patients in wheelchairs, or with walkers or patients who are bedridden. Frequently asked questions and common problems will be discussed to ensure that you feel comfortable when working in the field doing therapy work with your dog. At the end of the session you may take the Therapy Dog Tests administered by a Certified Evaluator. Dogs must be at least 1 year of age to qualify to take the Therapy Dog Tests. At the conclusion, if your dog passes, you will be certified for CGC and Delta Society.

Rally is a sport, held in conjunction with obedience where the dog and handler proceed at their own pace through a course of directional signs in a manner similar to agility but with obedience signs at each station instead of obstacles. The dog and handler team heel from sign to sign and perform the excercises indicated on the sign at each station. Great fun and a great way to continue working on commands and learning new skills

Does your dog get distracted easily? Does a great sit-stay at home until something or someone distracts him and then all bets are off? Does your dog get stressed in distracting environment? Teach your dog how to relax, focus and work off leash reliably. Great class for dogs that are easily distracted or unable to control their impulses when excited. And the best part, is that it's all done using positive reinforcement!
Level 2 Obedience is recommended!

Focus & Control Class
6 one hour sessions $110.00
For puppies 9-14 weeks of age
This 6-week class teaches you how puppies learn and communicate, and the fundamentals of social hierarchy and pack leadership. Puppy Basics include crate training, house breaking, nipping, chewing, jumping, separation anxiety, and basic commands, confidence building excercises and more. There is ample time in each class for the puppies to socialize together, which is a critical part of your puppy’s development.
Do NOT bring your puppy to the first class (humans only for the first class!)

Basic Obedience
Do you have a dog that LOVES (Really Loves) Tennis Balls???? If so, this is the class for you and your dog!! Flyball is fun and fast! It's essentially a competition between teams of dogs and handlers. On command, the dogs are sent over 4 jumps. Then they push on a box that sends a tennis ball into the air. The dog grabs the ball in mid air and flies back across the jumps back to the starting line and then the next dog in line takes his turn. The team with the fastest score WINS! But everyone has a fantastic time. Dogs must be at least 9 months of age, wear a plain buckle or snap-release collar and must be well socialized with other dogs. Class size is limited! It's great fun...........come join us! Don't think you can get your dog to to this.........no problem..........we will show you how; just like we did the dogs in these videos. None of them knew how to do it either when they started. New Classs start on the following dates:

This class is designed for anyone who just wants to continue training with their dog or people who wish to obtain an AKC Companion Dog (CD) title. You and your dog will learn to work together as a team while mastering the exercises required for competition in Novice Obedience (but no one says you have to compete). This class includes more precise heeling with pace changes, more attention from your dog while heeling, off-leash heeling as well as more precise sit-stays and down-stays which is a benefit for when company arrives at the house. The class emphasizes control and confidence for both dog and handler.

Advanced Rally picks up where Beginner Rally left off. In advanced Rally the course is all done off leash and more advanced signs and courses are added making it even more fun and more challenging. Out Door Adventure Class (Offered May - October)
6 one hour sessions $150.00
Do you have a dog that does great in the classroom but when you take him for a walk, all bets are off? He suddenly forgets his name, and acts like he has never hear the word COME or LEAVE IT or HEEL ever before in his life. Then this class is for you and your dog. We start week 1 in the classroom but quickly head to the great outdoors to finish up week 1. Then, the rest of the classes are held at different outdoor locations around the area where they will come in contact with other people walking their dogs, children, you name it; the real world! This class is dependent on Mother Nature which means that if it rains, the class will be cancelled and we will add one on to the end. Class size is very limited!
Our Basic Obedience & Level 2 are both prerequisites

Rally / Agility Combo Class
Is it Rally? Is it Agility? No, it's both combined! This is a unique class where we have combined low intensity Agility with Rally Obedience. The dog handler team will start off with a few Rally signs. But inbetween the Rally Obedience signs there might be a tunnel or a barrel or a low jump instead of another Rally sign. Great for dogs with physical disabilities that can't do traditional Agility due to bad hips or elbows or whatever the case may be. Also great for people that just want to do something fun with their dog. This class will build confidence and teamwork and will be fun for both the handler and the dog! Come check it out!
